Agenda:
Join SCL on a tour of two state-of-the-art facilities in one afternoon. The Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. (TMMC) facility, the company that introduced the world to Lean Manufacturing and Challenger Motor Freight Inc, platinum club member in the Canada’s 50 Best Managed program and the top privately owned transportation company in Canada.

First, we visit the TMMC plant. The tour consists of a 10-minute video presentation about TMMC, its history and manufacturing methods. Following the video presentation, we will embark on a motorized tram tour through the Welding and/or Assembly shops.

Our next stop is the Challenger Motor Freight Inc. Corporate Headquarters, which is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified. Challenger is a SmartWay transport partner and has been the recipient of the Smartway Award, which recognizes achievements that significantly reduce the environmental impacts of the freight sector, for two consecutive years. The tour will highlight the facilities, technology, equipment and expertise that make Challenger the true global service provider it is today.
