CITT Reposition 2009

Reposition 2009

Nov 4 - 6, 2009 Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario

CITT Presents:
Core Strength:
The Power of Improved Supply Chain Fundamentals.

Featuring issues pertinent to supply chain and logistics, Reposition 2009 - the National Symposium for Supply Chain and Logistics Professionals - will help keep you aligned with the latest industry developments.

Known within the industry as the premier learning and networking event of its kind, Reposition 2009 will bring together over 200 influential members of the logistics community from across Canada.

The topics include:

HR Boot Camp for Supply Chain Professionals - No matter what your job title, everyone at one point fulfils a human resources function within their department. While you may not be responsible for collecting resumes or screening applicants, training and coaching staff is probably a task every working professional has had to perform. HR Boot Camp for Supply Chain Professionals is an interactive workshop designed to provide practical, hands-on tools for supply chain professionals tasked with hiring, training, coaching and developing staff.

The Next Chapter in Supply Chain Management - Due to the volatile North American economy, a new chapter in supply chain and logistics management is currently being written. Through shifting attitudes and changing supply chain practices, what companies do in the coming months may define their level of success for the future. During this moderated session, senior representatives with expertise in different areas related to supply chain will discuss how their organization has adjusted their operation to suit the new economic climate. What has already been done, what lessons have been learned and most importantly, what is the next step?

Message in a Bottle - A global beverage distributor faces many unique supply chain challenges. In the heart of Ontario wine country, learn how to cultivate a successful customer grapevine for whatever product your supply chain must carry.

Near shoring – The Next Wave or Just a Faze - The greater the customization or market uncertainty, the closer to market the product has to be. As such, many companies have shortened their supply chain back from traditional off shoring practices. A panel of experts will discuss the pros and cons of near shoring, including control issues, shorter lead time, potential loss of intellectual property and who is doing it, and how.

Reposition 2009 will be held Nov.4-6, 2009 in Niagara-On-the-Lake, Ontario.
